Jerry Jay Adam of Derby, KS, a retired Q.A. Inspector and Vietnam Vet, passed away at St. Joseph Hospital Tuesday, May 31st at 12:08 am. Jerry Jay Adam was born September 29, 1942 in Independence, KS. He was the son of Charles P. and Bertha Adam. He attended school in Independence, KS and later moved to Derby, KS where he graduated from Derby High School in 1962. On September 7, 1968 he was united into marriage to Linda Dian Hodges in Derby, KS where they lived for 31 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Billy, Harry and Jack Adam; sister, Mary Jane Phillips. Jerry is survived by his wife, Linda Adam; daughters, Gwendolyn Cerullo and Tara (Aaron) Evans of Wichita, KS; grandchildren, Kayla (Brandon) Clark, Shiann (Martinez Waite) Cerullo, Ciara (Casimiro Guzman) Cerullo, and Iowa Irby; great grandchildren, Isaac Cerullo, Javi Guzman, Joaquin Guzman, Bugg Waite, Anabel Clark, and Zulleimy Clark; brother, Charles P. Adam, Jr; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation 5-7 Friday, June 3, 2016 and a Celebration of Life Service 1 p.m. Saturday, June 4, 2016 both at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 W.
