Georgia Ann Moore, 71, passed away peacefully on January 4th, 2024. She was born January 8, 1952, to Hallie and George McEachern, living in Wichita, Kansas with her four siblings Linda (aka Susie), Stan, Scott and Jerry. She graduated from Goddard High School in 1970.
Georgia was strong willed, stubborn and loud “at times”, but also had an enormous heart and wonderful sense of humor. On November 4, 1972, she married Herbert “Les” Leslie Moore (whom she had a crush on for several years) and they shared 52 wonderful years together. They had two loving children, a daughter (Crystal) and son (Brandon).
While Les was in the US Navy, Georgia did some volunteer work as an Ombudsman at the bases to assist other Military Spouses, needing assistance with resources in the specific area. They lived in many different east coast cities, before settling back in Wichita, Kansas. Georgia then attended some schooling at Friends University. She worked in the service industry in her early 20’s and went on to work in secretarial roles at Aramark and Kansas Legal Services. In 2003, Georgia and Les moved to Aransas Pass, TX to help take care of Les’ parents. They moved back to Wichita, Kansas in 2010.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Les Moore of Wichita, KS; two children, Crystal (Paul) Fowler of Wichita, KS and Brandon (Heather) Moore of Hutchinson, KS; One sister-in law, Janice (Craig) Schiller of Cocoa , FL; Twelve grandchildren, Carlie (Ryan) Bell of Wichita, Kami Mears of South Hutchinson, KS, Alex (Carrington) Smith of Wichita, KS, Brennan Mears of Hutchinson, KS, Jacob (Rhylie) Moore of Newton, KS, Aaron (Annie) Moore of Derby, KS, Jake (fiancé- Skye) Brown of Oklahoma City, OK, Bryan Smith of Wichita, KS, Jolene (Nate) Bell of Sherman, TX, Joshua (Brittany) Moore of Udall, KS and DJ Fowler of Wichita, KS; and six great grandchildren.
Georgia was predeceased by her parents George & Hallie McEachern, her brother Scott McEachern, her father-in-law Herbert Moore, mother-in-law Norva Moore, and sister-in-law Linda Hollenbeck.
She will be remembered for all the good times she shared with her family and friends. She will be missed dearly.
