Schmidt, Evelyn A., 80, of Wichita, KS reposed and went to be with the Lord on Wed. May 21, 2014. Evelyn was born in Marion, KS on July 7, 1933 the daughter of Fred and Anna Brunner. Evelyn and Emanuel Schmidt were united in marriage on Sep. 9, 1951 in Marion, KS. She was a member of the Becomers Sunday School Class and of the church choir at First Mennonite Brethren Church in Wichita. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters; Elenora Vajnar, Ethel Winters and brother Leroy Brunner. Survivors include her husband, daughters; Cindy (John) Baize and Rhonda Hendershot, 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Visitation will take place on Tues. May 27, 2014 from 6 to 8pm. Funeral Services will be held on Wed. May 28, 2014 at 10am both held at Lakeview Funeral Home, 12100 East 13th St., Wichita.
