Tommie dearly loved the zoo here in Sedgwick County. Her favorite animals were the apes and she had a fond affection for Zuza the gorilla and Daisy the Orangutan. She loved visiting other zoos while travelling.
She very dearly loved her pets, her beloved cats many of whom she rescued from the wild or from dire situations. Her favorites were Mc Kitty (who was rescued from a Mc Donald's parking lot), Dorian, Moon and Beauty. She recently rescued a female three legged goat that she named IHOP whom she kept safe and well fed until she could be adopted by a goat refuge.
Tommie greatly loved her friends, especially those she considered family. She was especially close to her roommate and ex Mike Harlow, her friend Steve Duncan and her friend and travelling companion Richard Cathey.
