David Hill was born in Winsor, Vermont to Arnold and Faith Bugby Hill on January 11, 1930 and passed away on July 20, 2020 from complications of living ninety plus years, as being the oldest of seven following the death of his oldest brother Gilbert killed during the Korean War.

He was predeceased by his brother Gilbert Daniel (Gib) his parents, his oldest son Timothy and the mother of his children Helen Johnson Hill. His survivors to include his loving wife Phyllis K. Hill, siblings: brothers Milo (Merle) Hill, Ross Hill, Sheridan (Wanda) Hill, Chris (Sharon) Hill, and sisters Caroline (David) Silverstone and Kathleen (Brian) Jerdan. His son Michael (Sandra) Hill, stepsons Kraig (Wanda) Pennington, Kevin (Jessica) Pennington and stepdaughter Kim (Tom) Olsen. The grandchildren include: David Hill, Daniel Hill, Erin Stanley, Matt Miller, Kenneth Reed, Kristopher Reed, Jessica Brooks, James Wilson, Alan Pennington, Amanda Cannon, Rebecca Pennington, Zachary Pennington and sixteen Great Grandchildren.
David enlisted in the Air Force September 1951 and served his country for 34 years retiring in 1985. David married Phyllis K. Pennington September 26, 1998 and they had almost 22 years of happiness doing everything together. Mission work was one of their favorites: going to Russia- 2 times, Haiti-2 times, Honduras-3 times, Peru, Alaska and Germany- 6 times here they assisted in building churches and district centers also held Bible School for the children. While visiting the Holy Land David was blessed with the experience of being baptized in the Jordan River. He served on many different committees at the First Church of the Nazarene. David enjoyed all the different experiences done with the Senior Group whether it was traveling, playing dominoes, mystery breakfasts or just going out to dinner as a group. David liked to stay busy with projects. His hobbies were gardening, especially flowers and wood working. He made several pieces of beautiful furniture which he enjoyed showing off. He always looked forward to visiting his siblings in South Carolina, New York or Maryland. Time with grandchildren and great grandchildren was also a joy. He always had an interesting fact to share with the kids about whatever random activity they were doing at the time he stopped by.
