Darrel was a masterful pipefitter and welder, who's skilled hands crafted not just metal, but also a legacy of hard work and integrity. He worked as a State Representative for the Wichita community, where he served for 18 years. Darrel converted to the Catholic faith when he was united in marriage to his wife, Joann, where he was then an active faithful member of St. Anne's Catholic Church in Wichita, Kansas.
Darrel was a true outdoorsman, where he truly enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and traveling with his loving wife. He loved to share stories and laughter while sitting around a campfire.
He is preceded in death by: his wife, Joann; his daughters, Cathy Norton and Karen Webb; along with his son, Christopher Webb.
He is survived by: his children, Mike Webb, Vickie (Chris) Myers, Rick (Laura) Webb, Christy (Wayne) Howard, Tim (Brenda) Webb and Larry (Terri) Webb; his 24 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren; along with his four legged friend, Holly.
The casket will be open after 5:00 P.M. on Tuesday at the church.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Tuesday, July 9, 2024; Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 both at St. Anne Catholic Church, 2801 South Seneca Street, Wichita, Kansas 67217. Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, Garden of Gospels, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, Kansas 67209.
