Charles Edwin Maddox, age 78, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at his home in Wichita, Kansas. He was born March 13, 1944 in Wichita, Kansas, a son of Arthur and Charlotte (Hammer) Maddox.
Charles was a graduate of Wichita High School North. He was united in marriage to Eleanor Mitts in 1966 and they had two daughters, Cheryl and Shannon. Charles was a co-owner of Kansas Construction News Report until his retirement in 2013.
After Eleanor's death in 1998, Charles was re-married to Carol Maddox in 2000, and she survives of the home.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Cheryl Maddox.
He is survived by his wife, Carol; daughters Shannon, Tiffany (Troy) Spencer, Angela White; and his son, Tim Carle; brothers Jerry (Ramona) Maddox, Mike (Michelle) Maddox, Marty (Sue) Maddox; sister Beth (Dan) Hoch along with 7 grandchildren; Alex Mattoon, Maclaine (Jake) Noxon, Madi Spencer, Marina Carle, Dylan Banning, Sullivan Moores, Millie Carle and great-granddaughter, Winslow Noxon.
Visitation with family present will be held from 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. on Friday, March 3, 2023 at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services, 4408 W. Central Avenue, Wichita, Kansas.
Graveside Inurnment Service will be 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11800 W. US-54 Highway, Wichita, Kansas with Father Les Jackson officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Charles' name may be made out to Club Parkinsons, P.O. Box 771269, Wichita, Kansas 67277.
