She retired from Boeing Aircraft as an Expeditor after 25 years in 2005.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ronald Downs; sister, Brenna Jones; son, Shane Williams and granddaughter, Kennadee Williams.
She is survived by daughter, Michelle (James) McManus; sons, Jay B.(Chanel) Murphy; Dean and Billy Downs; sister, Cindy Conner; brothers, Gregg (Sandy) Wright and Brent (Edna) Wright; grandchildren: Katelynn McManus, Carolyn Williams, Jayce and Jayden Murphy, Reba and Cody Downs; Salym and Blayz; 10 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and lifelong friend, Judy Johnson.
A visitation will take place Monday, March 11, 2024, from 5 to 7 pm. A funeral service will take place Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at 1 pm with a graveside to follow. All services will be at Resthaven Mortuary and Gardens of Memory, Garden of Bruce Newton, Lot 198A, Space 2; 11800 W. Highway 54, Wichita, Kansas, 67209.
