Betty Irene Moore, born February 7, 1928 near Morrowville, Kansas to George and Josie (Zabokrtsky) Lohrengel. She passed away December 20, 2015 in Dallas, Texas at the age of 87. She was an elementary school teacher, who met her loving husband, William H. Moore, when they were teachers at the same school, and they married in 1951. They had a wonderful marriage until his passing in 1988. After earning a Bachelor of Education degree from the University
of Wichita, Betty taught for 37 years, mostly in Wichita at OK Elementary. She had many hobbies, which included quilting, embroidery, puzzles, and seeing the U.S. She visited all the states except Hawaii. Betty moved to Dallas in 2012 to be near her family. Betty is survived by a family who loved her dearly and will miss her always. Children and spouses: Gary K. and Rita Moore, Edmond, OK; Nita and Randy Hinshaw, Plano, TX; William H. (Bill) and Mae Moore, Wells, KS; Barry and Gale Moore, Eagle River, AK; Alisa (Kay) and Lynn Hake, Dallas, TX; Ronn and Lisa Moore, Pearland, TX. Grandchildren: Gregory Moore, Kelly Moore, Michelle (Hinshaw) Baena, Jason Hinshaw, Linda (Moore) McGaughey, William H. Moore; Lauren (Hake) Clark, Rachel (Hake) Page, and Zachary Moore. Surviving family also includes, fourteen great-grandchildren, eight nieces and nephews, and her sister Lois Kihm of Denver, CO. Services will be 3:00 PM Monday, December 28, at Resthaven Mortuary Chapel with graveside services following.
