Born in Cushing, Oklahoma to Lavern Davis, and Leroy Nesbit on September 10, 1959.
One of 12 children, 9 girls and 3 boys, (survived by 7 sisters and one brother), Audrey was outgoing, and loving from the start, and was known for speaking her mind.
Together with Rudy Anderson for over 20 years, they raised 7 children: Laquesha (Marshall) Vann, Shantel (Carl Jr.) Kirkendoll, Davon Anderson, Rudy Anderson, Shasta (Maurice) Johnson, Mahogani Anderson and Everett Anderson. She was also a proud grandmother to 15 children, and a great-grandmother to one.
Family was most important to her and her family was extensive. Audrey was a loyal friend to so many over the years, and if you were her friend, you were family. She was happy to welcome guests in her home and was always a gracious host.
On April 10th, 2013, she symbolized her dedication to Jehovah God by getting baptized. Determined to live for Jehovah, she enjoyed taking part in the ministry by any means she could. She embodied the words of 2 Corinthians 9:7 “God loves a cheerful giver.” She loved all her friends in the congregation and expressed it often with her words and generosity. Even with her failing health, she was selfless, always finding ways to encourage and give to others. She loved to cook for her family and friends and could be heard singing Kingdom songs while she prepared meals. Above all else, Audrey was Jehovah’s daughter and friend. She loved Jehovah and expressed it freely. After enduring a hardship or a trial successfully, she would often proclaim, “that’s the power of Jehovah!” We can all take comfort in knowing that ‘she fought the fine fight, she ran the race to the finish, she observed the faith.’ - 2 Timothy 4:7
Audrey is now safely secure in Jehovah’s memory, and we look forward to welcoming her into the new world with open arms!
Memorial service to be held Saturday December 28th at 11:00 AM at the Linwood Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses 2700 S. Richmond, Wichita, Kansas.
