Annette Schoenthaler, 82, of Wichita, Kansas passed away on Friday, September 9, 2022 in Wichita. Annette was born the daughter of Clemens and Firmina Bittel on January 27, 1940 in Hays, Kansas. Annette and Robert Schoenthaler were united in marriage on April 18, 1959 in Ellis, Kansas. Annette was very active in charity work, especially in the Assistance League for Operation School Bell in Wichita. She enjoyed painting, animals, canning, cooking, attending musical performances and especially spending time with grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson, Kyle Leach. Survivors include her children; Stephanie (Bruce) Leach, Robbie Jack, Jeff (Kam) Schoenthaler, brother; Steve (Vicki) Bittel, grandchildren; Rachel (Josh) Arnett, Vern Leach, Devin (Jordan) Jack, Brittaney Jack (DeWayne), Kelsie Jack (Kaden), Robert Schoenthaler, great-grandchildren; Cayden Arnett, Logan Arnett, Wyatt Jack, Savannah Jack and many extended family.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7pm with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7pm on Thursday September 15, 2022 both at DeVorss Flanagan-Hunt Mortuary, 201 S. Hydraulic, Wichita, Kansas. Mass of Christian Burial will be 1pm on Friday September 16, 2022 at Saint Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 2701 S. Pattie, Wichita, Kansas. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, 600 W. Chicago Ave., Colwich, Kansas. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Assistance League for Operation School Bell, PO Box 8072, Wichita, KS 67208.
