After school Allen enlisted in the Army from 1968 through 1974 earning ranks up to Sergeant. He then came back home to work at Nance Speed Equipment, the family business.
Allen is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ellen; brother, Carol; sister, Charlotte; and grandson, Weston Greenstreet.
Survivors include: daughter, Tracy Nance, Web City, MO and son, Ken (Candace) Nance, Wichita; grandsons, Hunter, Jackson, and Trenton Nance; step children, Tina, Shannon, Kevin, and Chad; and sisters, Sharon Stang and Diane Herman
Services will be held Thursday, October 20, 2022 10:00 am at Kansas Veterans' Cemetery 1208 N. College St. Winfield, KS 67156 with a Visitation Wednesday, October 19, 2022 inside the chapel at Resthaven Mortuary 11800 W. Highway 54, Wichita, KS 67209 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm with family present.
A memorial contribution can be made in Allen's honor to the Wounded Warrior Project.
