Alvarez, Albert R., 85, passed away July 11, 2014. Albert was a retired tech writer for Cessna and former sports writer/editor for Eagle-Beacon, Golf World Magazine and various other publications. He was preceded in death by his brother, John. His survivors are wife of 55 years, Ena (Beugelsdyk) Alvarez; sons, Rick (Lorrie) Alvarez of Wichita, Steve (Mary) Alvarez of Fairfax, VA, Ken (Vickie) Alvarez of Greeley, CO; daughter, Debbie (Mark) Kenny of Mobile, AL; brother, Alfred; sisters, Addie Spitsbergen, Rose Johnson; grandchildren, Nicole, Michelle, Devin, Kaira, Kailynn and great grandson, Liam. Private family services will be held and public Celebration of Life to be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Rivercross Hospice or YMCA of Wichita.
