Tommy Frie, of Wichita Falls, died August 30, 2015 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Tommy was born May 1, 1944. He was 71 years old. His mother, Betty Driver died in 1996. His loving grandmother, Lillian Stewart (Mama Lilly) passed away in 1989. Tommy was an only child and grandchild.
Raised in Wichita Falls, Tommy graduated from WFHS in 1962. After attending Midwestern University, he moved to Dallas and was a student at The University of North Texas. Tommy was awarded a degree in behavioral psychology in 1982. Employed by Methodist Hospitals of Dallas, he held several executive administrative positions during his career.
Tommy Served in the Air Force Reserve for six years from 1967 to 1974 assigned to the Flight Surgeon’s Office at Sheppard Air Force Base Hospital.
Growing up in the 60s and having a red Corvette in high school, cars were the biggest of his many interests! Tommy began as a collector of Mustangs including Shelby Cobras, which grew into a business. He acquired and sold more than 500 specialty cars nine years. His other interests included photography, golf, tournament fishing, computers, and lots more!
Tommy was married to Mary Cynthia Trimble whose parents were Dr. Orman (Sparky) Trimble and his wife, Mary. Tommy and Cindy divorced in 2002 but remained friends. Many loved ones and friends are left behind, especially Deanna Beer and Sherrie Berend.
A private memorial service will be conducted by Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home. Burial will be at Crestview Memorial Park.
