Mr. Parker was born May 31, 1932 in Wichita Falls to Ralph C Parker and Ruby (Pearson) Parker. He married Betty L Stephenson May 5, 1956, in Holiday, Texas.
He graduated from Wichita Falls High School and went to work for Southwestern Bell Telephone for a few years. He was hired by Motorola, and worked for them nine years while living in Dallas, Texas. In 1964, he returned to Wichita Falls to start his own communications business (Mobile Phone of Texas, Inc) which is still in operation.
Ralph had a passion for flying. He obtained his pilot's license at the age of 14. He was so enthralled with flying, that while courting Betty, he would fly into Holiday, Texas to pick her up in his plane for their dates. Throughout his life, he managed to acquire several aircraft, and constructed an acrobatic plane from a kit that he piloted and performed maneuvers in during air-shows across the United States. He also enjoyed flying remote control planes and was very enthusiastic about steam engine trains.
Ralph C Parker was preceded in death by his parents Ralph C and Ruby Parker; and brother, William C Parker.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Parker; daughter, Julie Mere and her husband Mark; son Stephen Parker and his wife Lindsay and their son Isak.
We will always carry your memory in our hearts.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls.
