Patsy Marie Edwards Harney, of Wichita Falls, TX, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at the age of 83. Patsy was born March 5, 1939, in Ropesville, TX, to the late Alvin Murel Edwards and Ada Lee Brown Edwards. Patsy met and married the love of her life Selby Harney while he was stationed at Dyess Air Force Base in Abilene, TX. They were married on March 1, 1958, and would spend the next 20 years raising their family and while proudly serving in the United States Air Force in many places. Patsy and Selby were stationed from Abilene to Morocco, Michigan and back to Abilene where Patsy lived with their children while Selby spent a year in Vietnam. Once he returned they were stationed at Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, TX, until they had the opportunity to go back overseas where they were stationed at Upper Heyford Air Force Base in England. Patsy loved every minute of traveling and moving with the military. Upon retiring from the US Air Force, Patsy and Selby made their home in Wichita Falls, TX. They were blessed with six children, Shane, LeAnn, Kammy, Lesia, Kandi and Trudi. Patsy was a dedicated loving wife, mother and nana. Before Selby passed away in January, 2018, they had almost 60 wonderful years together, Patsy rarely left his side. They enjoyed spending time together, whether it was in the kitchen cooking for their family, watching their grandchildren and great grandchildren participate in various activities and sports, as well as going fishing with Selby.
We love and miss her dearly, but can rejoice knowing she is once again by his side and watching over their family from heaven.
