Patricia Ann Guerra, 68, of Wichita Falls, passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2016. A funeral service will be held at Tenth and Broad Church of Christ, 1319 10th St, on Friday, March 25 at 3 p.m. The family will greet friends and relatives at a visitation on Thursday, March 24, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home, 1917 Archer City Highway.
A native of Carroll, Iowa, Pat, as she was called by those closest to her, was born July 3, 1947 to John and Marjorie Scheetz. One of three children, she graduated high school and attended college before moving to Texas. Settling in San Antonio, she began working for the Air Force, where she met her future husband, Juan Guerra. They married September 10, 1982 in San Antonio. After both Pat and Juan retired, they became missionaries. Deeply devoted to God and spreading His message, they served extensively in Mexico and the United States, most specifically in Missouri and Tennessee. After deciding to move closer to family, Pat and Juan settled in Wichita Falls to be near her daughter Cindy and her children.
Pat’s life can be measured through the many lives that she touched through her work, the various groups she belonged to and her deep devotion to God. Her faith was paramount to her life. Along with her faith, Pat’s family was also a great source of pleasure. She will forever be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Barbara Baker. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Juan Guerra, her daughter Cindy Lehman and husband Jack, and stepsons Joe and David Guerra. Other survivors include her grandchildren Josh, Jessie, and Justin Lehman and J.D., Brandon, Jacqueline, Julia and Cory Guerra. She is also survived by her brother John Scheetz and his children Zac and Nikki.
