Michael Eugene Wood

Memorial Service will be Saturday, June 25, 2022 at 2PM at Overcoming World Praise Center, 1801 Airport Drive, Wichita Falls, TX 76306. Services will be performed by his best friend, Blaney Eathorne.

Mr. Wood was born in Wichita Falls, TX January 9, 1957 to Eugene Russell and Ruby Delores (Turney) Wood. He married the love of his life Carol Ann Roy on June 24, 1977 in Wichita Falls, TX. He graduated Rider High School in 1975 and attended Business school. Mr. Wood worked as a painter for WFISD and then worked as a Psychiatric Nurse Technician at North Texas State Hospital on the Wichita Falls Campus. He loved his kids and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was a giving person and loved watching, playing and coaching sports. He served as assistant scout master for the Boy Scouts for several years.

Survivors include daughters, Michelle Panas, Carla Drust and husband Selden, and Carrie Wood; sons Jason Wood and Justin Wood and wife Brittanie; grandchildren, Lindsay Panas, Bryson Drust, Haley Drust, and Brynlie Pool; great-grandchildren, Silas Panas and Hensly Panas; brother-in-laws Riley Roy and partner Paul Chatelain, Wes Roy and wife Pam; sister-in-law, Lisa Nelson.

Preceded in death by Parents, Eugene and Ruby Wood; wife, Carol Wood; sister, Nancy Wood; uncle, Sealy Turney; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Waylon and Betty Roy; Mother-in-law and father-in-law, Barbara and Ray Kosbau.
