Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 in the chapel of Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memory at Crestview Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 in the evening on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at the funeral home.
Lucille Worley was born May 12, 1920 in De Queen, Arkansas to Robert and Flora Milam. Lucille was raised in Sevier County, Arkansas. She met her husband, William Holmes Worley, while pulling cotton in Crosbyton, TX, and married him December 11, 1937. She raised 2 young children while her husband was in the Army during WWII and afterwards moved to Archer City, where she lived and raised her family. Her husband died in 1989 after 51 years of marriage and in 1998 she moved to Wichita Falls, TX to be closer to family. She was a very strong believer in Jesus Christ and active member in the Churches of Christ in Archer City, Olney and Wichita Falls. She enjoyed camping, fishing, playing in the water, ice cream and hamburgers. She loved her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and recently her two great-great grandchildren very deeply. Family was very important to her. She will be missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents Robert David Milam and Flora Cooper of De Queen Arkansas; her husband William Holmes Worley of Archer City, TX., Her two sisters Leona Milam/Jenkins and Ruby Milam/Patterson.
She is survived by her daughter Martha Jean Harrelson of Wichita Falls TX, son William Clyde Worley and wife Beverly of Wichita Falls TX. Five grandchildren: David Harrelson and wife Beth of Las Cruces NM. Dennis Harrelson and wife Sue of McKinney TX, Dana Wilson and husband Randal of Henrietta TX, Lance Worley of Teague TX. Sean Worley of Archer City. Also eleven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren
Pallbearers are Joshua Harrelson, Stephen Wilson, Daniel Wilson, Ryan Worley, Aaron Worley, Sean Worley and honorary pallbearers Kari Harrelson and Casey Harrelson.
