Louis Maxwell went to be with the Lord on November 4, 2018 at Evergreen Health Care Center of Burkburnett, Texas. He was born in Clarksburg, West Virginia on December 29, 1930 to Scott M. Maxwell and Pearl H. Maxwell.
Moved to Terre Haute, Indiana and married Phyllis Jean Sutt on August 20, 1950.
Mr. Maxwell was in the Air Force during the Korean War and then settled in Wichita Falls, Texas for 30 years and in Nocona, Texas for 29 years and now a resident in Burkburnett, Texas.
Member of the Boy Scouts Troop 200.
Retired from Texas Highway Department after 24 years and moved to Nocona, Texas.
Member of First Baptist Church of Nocona and served as a deacon.
Survivors include wife of 68 years, Phyllis Maxwell of Wichita Falls and Nocona, Texas; one daughter, Ellen Clapp and husband Larry of Iowa Park, Two sons, Winfield Maxwell and wife Gracie of Jacksboro, Texas, Robert Maxwell and wife Lori of Electra, Texas. Seven grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Private graveside service at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Memorial Park. The family requests memorials be made to Camp Copass through First Baptist Church, Nocona, Texas.
