She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Mary Piper.
Survivors include, sister Karry and husband Larry Hawkins and brother Michael Piper and wife Cindy, all from Wichita Falls. One niece and three nephews include; Dara and husband Jason Tucker of Hurst, Texas, Ryan Piper and wife Janice of Wichita Falls, Jonathan Hawkins and wife Jessica of Southlake Caroll, Texas and Justin Piper and wife Scarlet of Seymour, Texas. Her great nieces and nephews include; Jackson, Hailey and Grady Tucker, Gage and Saige Piper and Gentry, Brock, Scout, Colt, and Lark Piper, Nolan, Hannah Claire, Adelyn and Caden Hawkins and a close cousin Kathryn and husband Wes Forsteyk.
Gail graduated from Wichita Falls High School in 1970 and Midwestern State University in 1975 with a Bachelor of Arts in Music. She received a Masters of Religious Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1978 and a Masters in Gifted and Talented from Abilene Christian University. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Society as well as Daughters of the Republic of Texas and Daughters of the American Revolution.
Gail taught music and gifted and talented classes for both the Wichita Falls I.S.D. and Lewisville I.S.D. Her career also included being on church staff in Artesia, New Mexico. Gail loved to sing and was involved in music ministry her entire life. Gail was a joy and inspiration to all who knew her.
A visitation for Gail will be held Monday, February 6, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 1917 Archer City Highway, Wichita Falls, Texas 76302, followed by a chapel funeral service at 2:00 PM. Graveside to follow at Crestview Memorial Park.
