Angels delivered Dorothy Hobbs Sadler to James Watt & Myrtle Hobbs on October 28, 1921. Her purpose on earth was completed on December 31, 2016 when the angels reunited her with her parents, her husband E. A. (Joe) Sadler, sons Tony L, Earl Lester, and Bobby Joe (Bimbo) Sadler, granddaughters Kelly Briley and Susan Sadler, grandsons Richard and Buzz Beck, brother John Hobbs, sisters Thelma Argeanous, Lorena Johnson, and Christina Wilson.
Dorothy is now watching over her son Daniel (Bud) Sadler, daughters Margaret Warren and husband Ron Cebulski, Sylvia Kimes and husband Kenneth, grandsons Tony Duane Sadler and wife Lori, Michael Warren and wife Becky, James (Jimmy) Warren, Robert Sadler and wife Michelle, and Brian Sadler, granddaughters Sandy Pruitt and husband Jim, Vicky Noelter and husband Charles, Bobbie Jo McGehee and husband Freddy, Brother Wallace Hobbs, sisters Gladys Shawver and husband Gene, Beverly Noel and husband Joe and 20 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren.
Dorothy was a lifelong resident of Wichita County. She retired from Wichita Falls State Hospital in 1979 where she worked as a dietitian. She enjoyed playing bingo, working Sudoku puzzles, and going across the river any time the opportunity knocked and was a formidable domino player. One of her favorite things to do was both going to and having garage sales. She took her first cruise to the Caribbean on her 90th birthday. Above all, she loved family time, holiday dinners and always looked forward to family visits.
Services are under the direction of Hampton Vaughn Funeral Home with graveside services at Crestview Memorial Park on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at 11:00 am.
