Bonnie McDonald

A visitation is scheduled for Wednesday October 5th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held Thursday October 6th at 10:00am at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home. Internment at Crestview Memorial Park will follow the service.

Bonnie was born in Sherman, Texas on September 16, 1940, to Walter and Margie Patrick. Bonnie graduated from her beloved Wichita Falls High School May 30th, 1958 where she played tennis and sang in the choir. She remained a passionate lifelong Coyote fan. She married Bill McDonald February 1, 1959, and they were married for 59 years before Bill’s death in 2018. Bonnie worked at Beacon Insurance Company for many years starting as a switchboard operator and then moving to the claims department. After retiring from Beacon, she joined Bill at B&B printing until 2010 when they decided to close the print shop. Bonnie loved to read, do puzzles and to travel, especially to New Mexico. She rarely missed any event one of her Grandchildren were involved with. Whether it was a sporting event, marching band contest, art show, theater production or musical concert she was there cheering on her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents, husband Bill and grandson William Authur McDonald.

Bonnie is survived by her Sister Carole Parker, her three children, Dan McDonald and wife Cheryl of Lubbock, TX; Dana Leary and husband Jay of Wichita Falls, TX; Debra Bennett and husband Jody of Wichita Falls, TX; grandchildren Grant McDonald and wife Aubrey, Paul Leary and wife Maegan, Alex Leary, Brent Bennett, Cory Bennett and fiancé Taylor Gilbert and great grandchildren Jack Leary, Freya Leary, Maeve Leary and Weston McDonald and many nieces and nephews.
