Bobby A Jones

Bobby Allen Jones, 82, passed away on Thursday, October 7, 2021 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Visitation will be held from 5-7 P.M. on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home in Wichita Falls. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 15, 2021 in the Mausoleum Chapel at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Memorial Park.

Bobby Allen Jones, born December 12, 1938 in Phenix, Virginia on a tobacco farm, moved to Charlotte Court House, Virginia at the age of 16 and graduated from Randolph Denny High School in June of 1958. He joined the U.S. Air Force in November of 1959 where he served for 21 years at several bases, including Okinawa, Korea, Thailand, San Vito Italy and four tours at Sheppard Air Force Base, assigned to the military clothing store and the commissary. After retiring from the Air Force, Bobby worked as a sales representative calling on the commissaries for two years, then went to work in Civil Service, where he retired on September 30, 2002 at MacDill Air Force Base and moved back to Wichita Falls.

Bobby met and married Georgia Earline Blackmon in 1962. They had two sons, Christopher Eddie and

Bobby Jones, Jr. Georgia preceded Bobby in death on June 10, 2010.

Throughout Bobby’s life, he enjoyed golf, bowling, hunting and fishing. He also made thousands of peanut brittle paddies for 17 yearly Vendor Appreciation Days.
