Mrs. Betty Lou Broyles, of Wichita Falls, passed away peacefully May 14, 2023 at the age of 94. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. At the time of her death, she resided in Plano, Texas at The Waterford, where she spent her last days playing poker with friends, enjoying a red draw with her girls, and laughing with her many friends and family.
Mrs. Broyles was born January 1, 1929 in Pampa, Texas, but lived most of her life in Wichita Falls along with her husband Bill Broyles. The two enjoyed their time riding their Goldwing motorcycles, giving of their time to the Maskat Shrine of Wichita Falls, or spending time surrounded by their family and many friends. Betty was an active member of AARP of Wichita Falls where she served on the board for multiple years. She loved being a Shrine Lady, a member of the Daughters of the Nile, and was a member of the drill squad at the Maskat Temple. She was a long time member of St. Marks United Methodist Church.
Betty was preceded in death by the love of her life, Bill Broyles in September of 1994.
She is survived by her daughter; Cindy Wood, and husband, Richard of Plano, Texas; son, Billy Broyles; one granddaughter, Sara Beth Linthicum and husband Scott, of Van Alstyne, Texas; and one great-granddaughter, McKenzie.
A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held June 2, 2023 at 1:00 in the afternoon at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Memorial Park in Wichita Falls, Texas.
