Barbara Bachman-Davis

Barbara was born in Archer City, TX to parents Norman W. Bachman and Lexie (Threet) Bachman.

Barbara grew up in Colorado Springs, CO prior to her family relocating to Wichita Falls, TX. She graduated from Wichita Falls High School and attended Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls.

Barbara married the love of her life, Odell Davis, on September 1,1951. They had 56 years of joy together before Odell preceded her in death on January 1, 2007. Barbara and Odell were avid golfers.

Barbara worked for Phillips 66 Petroleum as an Executive Secretary for 20 years, prior to retiring from an independent oil operator after 23 years. Barbara retired in 1997.

Barbara was a member of First United Methodist Church in Wichita Falls for over 70 years. Barbara was a member of the Ushering Committee, Monday Morning Sanctuary Committee, Young Energetic Seniors Committee as well as a faithful member of her Sunday School class.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Odell Davis, as well as her parents Norman and Lexie (Threet) Bachman, her sister Carrie Bachman and her brother, Robert Bachman. Barbara is survived by her nephew, Raymond Bachman and his wife Sheri Spencer Bachman of Canton GA as well as her niece in law, Lauren W. Newman of Senoia Ga. Barbara is also survived by her grand nephew, Trevor R. Bachman of Greenville, SC and her grand niece, Sarah (Bachman) Kuehl of Sharpsburg, GA.

Funeral Services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at First United Methodist Church Wichita Falls, TX.
