Vinita L. Kauffman

Born on December 1, 1942, in Paterson, NJ, Vinita spent her life cherishing her family and friends. Growing up in Elmwood Park (formerly East Paterson), she was a graduate of Elmwood Park Memorial High School. She and her husband Russ raised their family in Elmwood Park before relocating to Toms River in 1992. During those years she watched her family grow with the addition of grandchildren. Vinita and Russ were members of the First Baptist Church of Toms River, and later attenders of Redeemer Fellowship of Toms River where they served the Lord and forged lasting relationships with many dear friends who were a treasured part of her life.

Vinita's greatest joy was spending time with her loved ones. She was a devoted wife to Russell Stephen Kauffman, a loving mother to Kirsten Amy Barna, Melissa Picard, and Kurt Erich Kauffman, and a cherished grandmother to her seven grandchildren, whom she is survived by. Vinita will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held at Redeemer Fellowship Church, 1644 North Bay Avenue, Toms River, NJ, on December 2, 2024, at 10:00 AM. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM. A repast for family and friends will be held after the funeral service at the American Legion Post 129, 2025 Church Road, Toms River.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to All Fur one Pet Rescue and Adoptions (allfurone.org), a cause that cares for cats whom she loved.
