My friend John was sweet and kind. I enjoyed his company as we walked in our neighborhood sharing stories about our past, where we lived and what we accomplished in the past, friends and family events and celebrations, hobbies etc. But the love between his pup Sammy and my dog Sparrow was immeasurable. The joy the dogs felt…crying out with glee upon meeting again for a walk, a really special friendship. I will deeply miss John, a good friend, immeasurably good!

jon you will be missed , last time we talked i said you were like a brother that i actually chose and liked , you were such a kind individual, , you will always be in our hearts and you will never be forgotten, we would always talk about how great your gravy was  and how horrible the powdered gravy lol! we’re going to miss your humor and your quick  remarks , love you always  xoxo

Jon was a great neighbor and a really nice guy.  I will always miss seeing him and Sammy on their daily walks.  My sincere condolences to his family and friends.

I am sad to learn of Jon's passing.  I only had the chance to speak with him a handful of times but I always wanted to having a lengthy conversation with him. He and I had similar interests.  I think I would have learned so much about trees and nature fron Jon if given the time. Gone too soon.  I send my condolences to all who loved Jon. His little dog who he loved so much must be heartbroken.  Gail

I met Jon about 1989 when he was volunteering for HIV support. Truly an honorable and kind man! I will never forget his friendship to my partner and trips to Pepperidge farm cookies! 34 years later; Henry and he can now go again in heaven! 💐🍪
