Irene M. Spitaletto

Irene M. Spitaletto (nee Annicchiarico), 81, formerly of Whiting, NJ, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 8, 2024 at Applewood Village in Freehold, NJ. Irene was born and raised in Jersey City, NJ and graduated from Snyder High School. She married Theodore H. Spitaletto, Sr. in Jersey City in 1963. They moved to Hazlet, NJ in 1971 to raise their family and lived there for 31 years. In 2004, Ted and Irene retired and moved to Florida then later relocated to Whiting, NJ in 2011.

Irene worked as an underwriter for J.P. Morgan Chase Bank in Iselin, NJ. While living in Hazlet she loved relaxing in her floating pool chair. Irene lost her daughter in a tragic accident when she was only 22 years old. Irene pushed forward and kept the family together. She would always dance with her daughter and cherished those memories. Irene would always play games with her grandchildren and was the main reason why she moved back to NJ.

Irene was predeceased by her parents, Michael and Rose Annicchiarico; her beloved husband of 56 years, Theodore; her daughter, Rosemarie Spitaletto; and her brother, Michael Annicchiarico. She is survived by her loving son, Theodore H. Spitaletto, Jr. and his wife Daneen of Millstone Twp.; her two grandchildren, MareeRose and Jake; her sister, Rosemarie Annicchiarico; her brother, Raymond Annicchiarico; and many nieces, nephews and cousins .

Visitation will be held on Tuesday November 12th, from 4-8PM at Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 115 Lacey Rd. Whiting, NJ. A Funeral Service will begin at 7:15PM at the funeral home.
