Geraldine T. Weidner

Geraldine T. Weidner, 90, of Whiting, NJ, formerly of Parlin, NJ, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at home surrounded by her family. Geraldine was born in Maspeth, Long Island, NY and grew up in “Down Neck” Newark, NJ.

She loved to crochet and made countless gifts for her family, friends and even service men and women overseas. She was a truly remarkable person, someone who brought warmth and joy wherever she went. She had a genuine love for family, friends and people. She was loved by everyone who knew her and made an impression on everyone she met. She left a beautiful legacy of kindness and generosity.

Geraldine was predeceased by her first husband, Lawrence Bove; her second husband, Henry Weidner; 4 sisters, Marie Sousa, Anna Piegaro, Louise Fama and Connie Mandell; and 1 brother, Anthony Fama. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Bove Neal; 3 grandchildren, Scott Neal and his wife Cheryl, Steven Neal and Jessica Neal; and 3 great-grandchildren, Jordan, Milania and Trevor. She is also survived by 2 sisters, Helen Bottone and Ronnie Preziosi; 1 brother, Larry Fama; and many nieces, nephews and cousins whom she loved dearly.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 15, 2024 from 8-10am at Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 115 Lacey Rd. Whiting, NJ. A Funeral Mass will follow on Monday, April 15, 2024 at 10:45am at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 30 Schoolhouse Rd. Whiting, NJ. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Geraldine’s memory can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 or online at www.stjude.org.
