Todd never failed to make everyone smile and constantly laugh will all the jokes he had every single day and his contagious laugh. He would always make sure you were happy and always treated everyone with respect no matter who you were. Everyday at lunch Todd always had new jokes to make everyone smile and laugh at. I am definitely going to miss having him sitting across from me at lunch everyday. Todd was an amazing kid with a huge heart and would always go the extra mile for you no matter what it was. Todd you will never be forgotten. Rest easy bud. 

Todd was a special kind of person that you dont meet very often. He was such a kind and caring person that changed me for the better. He would always motivate me to be better. I'll never forget the truly amazing person that is Todd Martin and I'll never be able to express the pain I feel from loosing such a great soul. I grew up with Todd.  I remember going to his house to play air soft and run through the woods. In the summers we would play football and kick ball. I wish I could get those days back, because you never know what you have until it’s gone.

He was on my baseball team the last season I played we weren’t the closest of friends but I knew him and I’m sorry to hear I’m. In the last game of baseball we played together he was trying to see how we would win based on who was up and when he saw my name he said “masons a guaranteed hit” Him saying that was really nice and something I won’t ever forget 
 

We first met Todd when he asked Ryan to “work” the haunted forest at Halloween.  It was great until the second year and Ryan got poison ivy in his eyes!  LOL. Still he and Todd would hang out and I was grateful for Todd since Ryan was the “new kid from Ohio.”   I remember being a chaperone at a Henry Ford Museum field trip.  Todd was polite and sweet and he wasn’t one of the boys running and sliding on his stomach down the hallway at the museum.  😳  This has shocked Ryan to the core and we are so sad.  We will continue to pray hard for your family and hope that eventually understanding and peace will take the place of grief and anguish. 

I haven’t seen Todd in years but he was still a big part of my life. I wanted to come down and see him multiple times when we moved up north. I can remember all the times we hung out playing capture the flag , or the jam sessions on the bus when we were little. I miss Todd and I will always cherish the six years we had together. And to Mr and Mrs Martin and Danny I will pray for you and keep you all in my thoughts.

I am so saddened and heart broken to hear about the passing of Todd.  The moment I learned about Todd immediately brought back memories when Todd was my student in 2nd grade at Keith Elementary.  He was always smiling and laughing; not to mention a happy and fun loving student who loved playing sports!!  (I still have vivid memories of watching him play in one of his little league baseball games that year!)  You and your family will forever be in my heart, thoughts, and prayers.

We are all heartbroken  for your family. I still remember the first time I saw Todd’s sweet little baby face and  he and Erik playing together when they were little.  I love that they were still friends and laughed about the time Todd bit him. I will always treasure the times we shared and I know Max and Erik will miss him terribly. He was such a sweet kid. I first met Todd when I was 4 and he was 3. I still vividly remember the day I moved into the tiny yellow house next door and met two boys who would end up being life long friends, Todd and Danny. That was one of the best days of my life. I probably spent more time at the martins hanging with todd in elementary school than I did at my own house. Todd was always such a fun loving kid and loved making others smile which he made me do a lot, he might be the funniest kid I ever met. The most fond memories I have of him are being up way later than we should be at a sleep over crackin jokes and tryin not to wake Steve up at 3am when he had work at 6. My heart goes out to whole of the Martin family, I love you guys like my own.

I have known Todd ever since he was just 4 years old. As kids Todd and I would spend multiple days in a row playing video games, going fishing, or beating the neighborhood kids at sports, and these were some of the best moments of my childhood. He was very kind, energetic, and had the most contagious laugh, and I am proud to have watched him grow up into a great young man. Todd is one of the best friends I’ve ever had and I know the memories we had together will last a lifetime. Rest easy Todd, we love you bro.

Todd and Riley have been friends since 7th grade. From Football Filed to playing basketball to bike riding. Todd always had a smile on his face and was always goofy with Riley. Todd was always so polite.  From the last day of school when Riley would have pool parties. My heart breaks for you Martin family! We are all hear for you. Hugs!  Thinking of you guys during this difficult time. 

Todd was put in the unique (and as some may say, somewhat unlucky) position of being our only full-time junior class defensive lineman on our football team last season. He was the newcomer on the best defensive line in school history with 4 returning All-Conference starters. This did not stop Todd from competing EVERY SINGLE DAY. Todd impressed me over and over throughout the season and never backed down to older players with more varsity level experience. In my many late nights spent lying awake thinking about our team, I often thought about and looked forward to the day when Todd would take over his role in one of those 4 starting positions. Todd started the year off with a broken arm, but being the resilient young man he was, he fought back day by day to get back on the field. Todd, I will miss your spirit, your resiliency, and most of all your “head-down, go-to-work” attitude you brought to the team every day. Fly High 76. 

We adored Todd.  He was a wonderful  kid.   This sweet boy will forever stay in our hearts. We feel lucky to have known  Todd.  May he rest in peace.

I had the chance to first meet Todd in the summer of 2018. The wonderful thing about being a football coach is the fact that you are surrounded by kids every single day. The moment Todd walked through the door I knew we would be apart of our 26 man roster. One thing I remember about Todd is he continued to ask “how can I get better”. As a coach that question is simply music to your ears. A person who wants to work on his craft. Todd had a smile that made you feel good, he got a sack one game and the team went nuts. Todd was an awesome kid. I will never forget #73 Todd Martin

You could never take away Todd's smile, it could brighten up an entire room. And especially his laugh, he could just laugh and it would make everyone else laugh, Todd was special in that way and everyone loved him for that. He was a great friend and teammate, who without a doubt would put others before himself and I respected him so much for that reason. He will surely be missed by all, Love ya Todd -Jake❤️❤️

Todd was one of the most loving and kind hearted people I will ever meet in my lifetime. He never failed to make you smile, he always had such a positive outlook on things and brought everyone up around him. He always welcomed everyone to his home and knew how to have a good time. His heart was so pure. Im beyond blessed that have so many wonderful memories of his fun self. A couple of my favorite and close hearted memories is when Todd and Nick Sokol picked me up along with Hunter and Bryce, it was one of the most random nights, those guys really knew how to have a good time together, I remember Todd insisted on picking up a huge traffic cone from the side of the road, ahaha him and nick tried to get it into the back of the car but it wouldn't fit, but of course there was a nasty, super old, beaten up, dusty box fan. Todd put it on me and Bryce's lap and called it our initiation. Later that night we went to Meijer and played soccer in the toy aisle. To top it off, Nick bought so many chicken nuggets from Burger King and Todd insisted on making me the "nugget feeder" ahaha so weird. To finish the night we all sang Mr. Brightside as I feed the boys nuggets. Another time, so innocent but yet so meaningful was halloween, Todd had a couple of friends over, there was a huge mess in the basement, candy wrappers everywhere and skittles scattered across the floor, I was the only one left and I stayed back to help him clean it all up, and we just talked. Todd was just overall such a great person and I'm so blessed I got to have the huge impact he had on my life, he taught everyone through his own actions of making the best of what you have and always having such a positive attitude. To me Todd was the happiest and most joy filled person. It doesn't get much better than Todd. <3

Todd was one of the funniest kids i’ve ever met. He had the biggest heart and cared about everyone he met. I loved spending time with him. There was never a dull moment.  I will forever miss hanging out at his house on the weekend, or going out to lunch on half days, or car rides to mcdonald’s.  Rest in peace. I will love and miss you forever❤️❤️❤️

Todd was my closest friend. He always made sure he found time for me and shared his home with me like it was my own. His basement was the birthplace of countless memories, and he made sure everyone in his tight circle of friends was satisfied. He always managed to put a smile on his friends' faces, and his laugh was always contagious. Todd treated everyone with respect, even if he felt they didn't deserve it. He never asked for extra attention, but he was constantly reminded by his family and friends just how important he was to them. He made sure he was always available to help someone out when they were having a tough time, and would do whatever it took to find solutions to their problems. Todd Martin was the most genuine person I have ever met, and he will never be forgotten.

Everyday in math Todd would always talk about how much he loved our friend Carson’s mom. And it was by far the best joke my table had with him. He was so loving and caring of his friends and family. He always made everyone around him smile and always made me laugh when I needed it the most. He was my partner for many projects in astronomy and math. And always was there for me. I love Todd like a brother, and I already miss him so much. He was an amazing kid with a huge heart. He will always be in my prayers. ❤️ 

It was an honor and pleasure to have known Todd in my classroom. He made the world a better place and I feel lucky for the experience of knowing him. I will truly miss his infectious smiles and personality. Rest In Peace Todd.

Todd was a great friend and he treated me like a brother. Every weekend he would invite me over and I would stay the night hanging out with him and sometimes other friends. We had great times together and we never once argued with one another. I will forever miss him and I would like to thank him and his family for everything they have done. I love you Todd.

Todd and his family always welcomed people to there house with open arms. He was also was always willing to drive us anywhere and never charges us. He was the perfect mixture of sarcasm and seriousness.  He also had the best taste in music and always wanted us to follow his moms rules in his basement and would tell us to bring our level 10 volume to a 4. Todd Martin you were so loved and will never be forgotten. 

Todd always was the person you could go to when you needed a smile on your face. He did this many times for me. He also was the light of the room and never failed to make a boring night fun. I am going to miss you so much Todd. My thoughts and hugs go out the the Martin family. Fly high cowboy❤️

Todd brought joy to every person that knew him, his laugh was contagious, his jokes were the best, and he had the biggest heart. I will cherish the friendship we shared, and when I look in my elementary yearbooks and see his autographs, laughs and smiles will fill my memory.  Todd, you’ll always be in my heart, i’m going to miss you everyday. I’m watching Avatar for you tonight :)

My most prominent memory of Todd was our trips to the lake by my house. We would meet up there and just sit and talk for hours, with him never failing to make me laugh. For Todd it was the little things and he helped you notice them too. It was impossible to walk away from those days without a smile on your face, thanks to him. 

When Todd and I were in middle school, he came to a family friends house with Bryce and I. Todd, Bryce and I all watched the fireworks on Upper Straits Lake that night. On the boat, Todd told me that he liked turtles. That’s my first memory I have of him. I didn’t think he’d remember, but when I brought it up to him in class years later, he told me he did remember. Todd appreciated the little things, and he made everyone around him do the same thing. He was a beautiful soul.

My son and Todd began their friendship in preschool and we have cherished scrapbook memories of that time. My heart goes out to the Martin family. Sending prayers of comfort in this  time of tremendous loss. 

I was fortunate to know the Martin family through the Lakes Athletics Association when Steve coached my son's baseball team in 2016. I remember Todd as a happy-go-lucky kid with an infectious smile. What a beautiful difference a single life can make. My deepest sympathy to the entire Martin family on their tragic loss.

Since day one... the first person ever I could call a friend of mine. From the football field, to walking with him in the hallways at school, he always put a smile on my face. I miss you brother.

No matter who he was with, even if he didnt like you, somehow this kid would always put a smile on your face. That's how we need to remember him.

Todd always joked about being my big brother, and protected me from anything and everything that could hurt me. Sometimes i thought he was a little too over protective, but i let it slide because i knew it was all because he cared. Todd made sure i wasn’t going to get my heart broken by any boys, and constantly checked up on me to make sure i was doing okay. Todd was an absolutely amazing person and i am so thankful to have known him for 12 years. Todd never failed to put a smile on my face, and never failed to make me laugh. He always told me to “push through it” in every tough situation even when i didn’t feel like it.  He told me as long as i was on his watch, i wasn’t allowed to give up. My love is sent to all family members and friends. I am so blessed to have had Todd in my life as a big brother figure, and as a best friend. Forever in my heart and never forgotten.
