Robert Joseph Wozniak, age 76, of Pinconning, Michigan, passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2022 surrounded by his children. Bob or "Woz" as he was known by many, was born in Bay City, Michigan on February 12, 1946 to Edmund and Stella Lada Wozniak. He married the former Frances A. Dukarski. They moved to Pinconning on the Saginaw Bay where they raised their family. Bob enjoyed hunting and fishing. He served in the US Army Reserves until 1971. Bob retired from Chevrolet Motor Division after 30 years as a job setter. After retiring he could often be found in the kitchen watching TV. If he thought you were interested in the program you could count on him yelling out "Becky sharks on channel 4" " Bob fishing on channel 12" " Bill parrots on channel 25"... He will be remembered for his humor, cooking and sharing a drink with his friends or neighbors whenever they would stop by to visit.
Bob is survived by his children: Robert J. (Amy) Wozniak, William J. (Eric Bacigal) Wozniak and Becky (Brian) Williams; three grandchildren: Molly Wozniak and Noah and Kollin Williams. He was preceded in death by his wife Fran on April 29, 2021 and his sister Rosemary Johnson.
The family will receive visitors on Friday, September 9, 2022 from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Rivertown Funeral Chapel, 209 S. Huron Rd., Kawkawlin, Michigan 48631. Military Honors will be held at 6:00 pm under the auspices of the United States Army.
The family would like to thank Compassus Hospice, especially his nurse Kayla, whom he looked forward to visiting with every week.
