Richard Lawrence Roy

Richard Lawrence Roy, Age 85, was born March 19, 1939, and called home to heaven on November 1, 2024. Affectionately called Dick, he married Judith A. (Danclovic) on January 22, 1972, at Christ the King Catholic Church. He is the beloved husband of 52 years to Judith; devoted father to Todd (Katie) Roy, Danielle (Doug) Kastamo; and cherished grandfather of Trey, Maya, Isabella, and Marcus Roy, Sophia and Luke Kastamo. Born the twelfth child of eighteen, the son of George and Amelia (Ehlenbach) Roy, he is also survived by four sisters.

Fiercely loyal to his family, Dick worked tirelessly to build a beautiful life. He found great joy in coaching sports, playing golf and completing crossword puzzles. Dick was a proud Navy Veteran, with a passion for love of country, family, and friends.

A memorial visitation for Richard will be held Tuesday, November 5, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Elton Black & Son Funeral Home, 1233 Union Lake Road, White Lake, Michigan 48386. A rosary service will occur Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at 6:00 PM, 1233 Union Lake Road, White Lake, Michigan 48386. A memorial visitation at church will occur Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 9086 Hutchins Road, White Lake, Michigan 48386. A memorial mass will occur Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at 11:00 AM at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 9086 Hutchins Road, White Lake, Michigan 48386.
