Nancy was born on August 23rd, 1957, in Muskegon, Michigan. She graduated from Clarkston High School in 1975 and took accounting classes at Oakland Community College. In 1978, on a blind double date with her sister, she met Mike, and they soon married and started a family. In 1984, Nancy and Mike started Cefai Builders, a general contracting company. For the next 25 years, Nancy single-handedly ran the business administration and handled the finances of the company - all while raising her children, teaching Catechism at St. Patrick’s Church, volunteering for Meals on Wheels, and just generally being the kindest and most selfless person anyone had ever met.
Nancy loved to laugh (often at her own jokes, mainly at her husband’s expense); she loved to dance; she loved traveling to wild places and camping with her best friend Lynn Dulmage-Ogram and Lynn’s daughters Breanna, Alicia, and Mariah; she loved God; she loved to read; she loved to garden; she loved to golf; she loved babies; she loved her dogs (Beauregard, Buster, Casey, and Bruno); and she loved her family. She was vibrant, warm-hearted, intelligent, and she inspired everyone around her to live fully and with compassion.
