Margie “Sue” Bouchard, age 89, of White Lake, passed away Monday, July 17, 2023, at her home. Left to cherish her memory are her loving children: Michael (Paige) Bouchard, and Kathy (Larry) Mitchell; her five grandchildren: Michael (Amanda) Bouchard, Jaimie Miracle, Aaron (Cathy) Bouchard, Jessica (Josh) Alward, and Shauna (John) Tursell; her eleven great-grandchildren: Brandon, Samantha, Alex, Cameron, Logan, Katie, Alyson, Elleana, Finn, Grayson, and Leo; her five great-great-grandchildren: Danielle, Harper, Payton, Olivia, and Benjamin; and her two sisters: Jewel Jackson, and Bessie Vines.
Sue was born March 3, 1934, in Bassett, Arkansas, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Ezra and Nancy Catt. She married the love of her life, Stanley Bouchard, on May 14, 1955, and they shared sixty-six wonderful years together until Stanley’s passing on October 1, 2021. Throughout her life, Sue was the head cook at Dublin Elementary School in White Lake, where she worked for twenty-six years until her retirement in 1993. In her free time, Sue could always be found working in her garden, canning vegetables for her loved ones, or working on one of her sewing projects. She held fond memories of camping trips with her family over the years. She was a wonderful woman who will be greatly missed.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Ezra and Nancy; her loving husband, Stanley; her son, Roger Bouchard; and many of her siblings.
A Funeral Service will take place at 10:30 am on Friday, July 21, 2023, at the Union Lake Chapel of the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home, 1233 Union Lake Road, White Lake, Michigan 48386. Sue’s family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Thursday, July 20, 2023, from 2:30 pm until 7:00 pm, and again on Friday from 9:30 am until the time of service at 10:30 am. A burial will follow at Ottawa Park Cemetery in Clarkston.
