Don Michael Lyons

Donald “Don” Michael Lyons, age 66, of Wixom, passed away Friday, October 27, 2023, at Ascension Providence Hospital in Novi. Left to cherish his memory are his three children: Danielle Lyons, Brittney Lyons, and Shane Lyons; the mother of his children and his former wife, Anne Lyons; his five siblings: Cathy (Paul) Quick, Donna Hotchkiss, Steve Lyons, Mark Lyons, and Chris Lyons; and many nieces and nephews.

Don was born November 13, 1956, in Detroit, the son of Mr. & Mrs. Donald and Joan (Grant) Lyons. Don spent much of his professional life as a master electrician; working at General Motors for over thirty-eight years. In his free time, Don could always be found cheering on the Detroit Lions or Tigers; often referring to the opening day of the Detroit Tigers season as his favorite day of the year. Don was a movie lover, and could quote many of his favorite scenes. Most of all, Don greatly enjoyed spending time with his family. Some of his fondest memories were made on family “boat days,” on camping trips at 402, and on trips to Florida and Tennessee. Don was a wonderful man who will be greatly missed.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Joan.

Don’s family will receive visitors at the Union Lake Chapel of the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home, 1233 Union Lake Road, White Lake, Michigan 48386, on Friday, November 3, 2023, from 11:00 am until 4:00 pm.
