Dennis passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2024, at 79 years of age. The family is deeply saddened by his departure from this earthly life, and he will be forever remembered for his laughter, love and wisdom.
Dennis was born on November 11, 1944, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Michael and Helene Lisiscki. He graduated from Annapolis High School in 1963 and went on to attend trade school and become a successful union journeyman carpenter. Through the years Dennis was quick to lend a helping hand and put his expert skills to use for those in need.
Dennis proudly served two tours in the Army 82nd Airborne Division during the Vietnam War from 1967-1969, for which he received many metals and accommodations for his honorable service.
He retired from carpentry in 1998 and spent his time as an enthusiastic golfer and devoted his time to running the Rainman Golf League for many years. On September 9, 2002, his dedication and skill for the sport paid off when he achieved the coveted hole-in-one on Hole #9 at Brentwood Golf and Country Club.
Dennis is Survived by his devoted wife of 56 years, Marilyn, their beloved children, Lisa Russell and Stephanie Tuttle (Ronald Miler), his two cherished grandchildren, Kayla Tuttle and Dylan Tuttle, his dear siblings, Michael (the late Nancy) Lisiscki, Louise (Robert) Krause, David (Sandy) Lisiscki and Steve (Julie) Lisiscki. He was also a caring uncle and is survived by many nieces, nephews and other extended family.
A Celebration of Life along with full Military Honors will be held at 12:00pm on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at the Union Lake Chapel of the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home located at 1233 Union Lake Road in White Lake. The family memorial will be held from 10:00am – 11:00am and friends will be received from 11:00am until the time of the service at 12:00pm. Donations may be made in honor of Dennis S. Lisiscki to Penrickton Center for Blind Children at Penrickton.org.
Dennis will be interred at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan on a later date.
