Randy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He enjoyed traveling in his motor home with his family, going on cruises, and visiting his brother-in-law, Pete, in Arkansas. Randy visited all fifty states and several countries. He enjoyed panning for gold and watched all the Gold Mining shows on TV. He was a Youth Baseball coach for several years. Randy was an umpire for Iberville Umpires Association, Capital City Umpires Association, and LHSAA officiating Baseball on the youth, high school, and college levels for over thirty years. When he wasn't umpiring, he enjoyed riding his tractor and repairing any and everything. Randy was an avid LSU, Saints, and White Castle High School sports fan. He was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus.
Randy retired from Melamine Chemical of Donaldsonville after thirty plus years of service. He also owned his own electronics business where he repaired and installed satellites, TV's, CB radios, and much more. He supported his children in their own business ventures. Randy was also a substitute school bus driver for Iberville Parish Schools for many years.
Randy leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of forty-nine years, Toni McAuley Daigle; four children, Juli Maniscalco (Steven), Ginny Leonard (Glenn), Randy Daigle Jr. (Jill), and Christopher Daigle (Ashley); twelve grandchildren, Justin, Brendan, Matthew, Alyssa, Kaylin, Gianna, Ethan, Analyse, Landen, Kaine, Trey, and Aiden; two siblings, Kim Daigle and Pamela Burleigh.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Marian Daigle and one sister, Darlene Conlan.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at Ourso Funeral Home in White Castle from 5pm until 8pm with Services at 6:30pm.
