James was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He retired from Union Pacific Railroad after forty five years as a locomotive engineer. James enjoyed spending time with his family, telling stories, making up funny songs and poems, reading the newspaper especially the comics section, and spoiling his only granddaughter, Abigail. James was known as the dog whisperer and often sat for his granddogs and the neighbor's dogs.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of forty six years, Denise Ardoin Alleman; two children Ashley King (Jimmy) and Bryan Alleman; one grandchild, Abigail King; three siblings, Nancy Christensen (Rich), Terry Black (Ray), and Scott Alleman (Monica); four special nieces, Courtney Alvarez, Meagan DeCuir, Jade Babin, and Lucille Black and numerous other nieces, nephews, and extended family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James Sr. and Yvonne Alleman.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at Ourso Funeral Home in White Castle from 9am until 10:45am. A Mass of Christian burial will take place at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church at 11am with interment to follow in the White Castle Mausoleum.
