Wanda was born July 5, 1931 in Westminster, Colorado, to Harley Hazelett and Dorothy (Kammerer) Hazelett .
She was a graduate of Denver North High School.
On September 16, 1951, Wanda married the love of her life Marvin William Wren, with whom she is now reunited with after 41 years.
Wanda loved cooking, sewing, playing her organ and piano, working in the garden, and tending to her flowers. Her greatest joys were making frilly dresses and costumes for her granddaughters, watching her great grandson play, and cooking for Holidays with her family.
She also had a great love for sports, and was a lifelong fan of the Denver Broncos and the Colorado Rockies. Later in life she came to be an avid Colorado Avalanche fan and could be found at most home games with her son Thomas.
Wanda is survived by her three sons, Thomas Wren of Arvada, CO; Richard (Cheryl) Wren of Pueblo, CO; and Jeffery Wren of Littleton, CO. Five Grandchildren, Amy Wren, Brandi Wren, Matt Legg, Jake Wren and Wil Wren; Great-Grandchild, Maverick Wren; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family and friends.
She is preceded in death by husband, Marvin William Wren and parents, Harley Charles Hazelett and Dorothy Grace Hazelett.
A celebration of Wanda’s life will be held on Monday, November 1, 2021 at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary, 7777 W. 29th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033 at 1:00 p.m.
Wanda will be laid to rest in Arvada Cemetery, Arvada, Colorado.
