Thomas Paul Tompkins, USMC, of Denver, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2022 at the age of 70 in Arvada, Colorado surrounded by loved ones. A treasured father & grandfather (GTom), dedicated cowboy and decorated Marine, Tom’s love of horses, family and the Marine Corps was remarkable.
Tom is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence Tompkins & Oleta Tompkins (nee Kellum), and devoted sister Lewayne Tompkins Roe.
Tom is survived by daughters Kristen Tompkins and Rachel Tompkins (Kenny); grandchildren G. “Steamboat” Roppolo and Alexis Boccaccio; nephew Ian Roe (Jennifer); goddaughter Deana Martinez; and many cherished friends including Paula Luchetta, Mike Plambeck, Lindsey Plambeck, Debbie Dinsmoor, Fred & Monica Roberson and Kat Nagel.
Tom will be honored in a celebration of life at 11 a.m. on March 19, 2022 at Mile Hi Church in Lakewood, Colorado.
Tom will be cremated and laid to rest with his parents and sister at Greenhill Cemetery, Laramie Wyoming.
