Ruth L. Osborn

Ruth LaVeve Osborn was born in Meadow Grove, Nebraska on April 25, 1915 and was called to her Lord February 14, 2013. She was the daughter of Charles R. White (deceased) and Ethel M. White (deceased) and younger sister of Hazel (deceased).

Ruth grew up in the farming community around Meadow Grove, Nebraska and she graduated from Meadow Grove High School in 1933. Ruth was married on March 4, 1937 to Herbert Osborn (deceased) and they were married 53 years. They began married life farming around Meadow Grove and then moved to Denver, Colorado in 1942, and had one child, Micheal.

Ruth is survived by son Micheal (Susie) Osborn of Eastlake CO, granddaughter Jennifer (Michael) Janezic of Westminster CO, grandson Jeffrey Osborn of Thornton, CO, brother in law Bill (Betty) Osborn of Norfolk, Nebraska and loving nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by daughter in law Jo Anne (Yurko) Osborn, infant granddaughter Kimberly Michelle Osborn, and favorite nephew Charles “Chuck” Osborn.

Ruth worked in grocery stores and was a long time member of the Berkeley United Church of Christ where she taught Sunday school for many years. She loved all her care givers and staff at The Villas of Sunny Acres Nursing Home where she spent the last several years.

Ruth would say “wipe your tears and be happy for me because I had a good long life”.

Visitation will be held from 5-7:00pm, Wednesday, Feb 20, at Olinger crown Hill Mortuary. Funeral service will be held 10:00 am, Thursday Feb 21, at Olinger Crown Hill Pavilion of Reflection.
