Born 05/04/1929, to Carl and Anna, passed away peacefully April 13, 2025. Ron was the husband of Carol (1932-2023) for 71 years. He is survived by sons Rick (Leslee) & Brian (Janet), 3 grandchildren Erika, (Brian) Krasovec, Matthew (Brittney) Dendorfer and Amanda, (Kollman) Gearhart, 11 great-grandchildren, Sophie (Micah) Hemness, Eli, Faith, Eva, Ezra, Kaeden, Addy, MacKenna, Max, Zachary, and Stella as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Growing up, Ron loved everything to do with cars, especially his 1936 Terraplane Sedan. He worked alongside his father (Carl) as an auto body repairman, ultimately founding Klode Auto Painting in 1948. He was active member of the Colorado National Guard becoming the steward of the kitchen overseeing ordering and preparation of the foods; rising to the rank of Master Sargent. He met Carol Ebaugh at the old Tobin’s Drug store on West Colfax. They were married in 1952. Ron became a Mason attaining the 32nd degree. He loved fishing, traveling to Alaska, Canada, NASCAR races, especially Daytona and Talladega often inviting and paying for friends and family. He had a love hate relationship with his wooden Chris Craft Cruiser, loathing the labor it took to keep it looking pristine. He truly loved the time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren during the Holidays. We celebrate his good, long and rich life. He will be missed. May he rest in eternal peace.
