Robert Vernon Rhinehart, 90, passed on May 27, 2022 in his home in Westminster, Colorado surrounded by family. Graveside Service will be held at Crown Hill Cemetery on June 10th 2022 at 10:30am followed by inurnment.
Mr. Rhinehart served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict, and served as a Mechanic, working on the crash crew helping to rescue many wounded soldiers. He was stationed in Anchorage, Alaska for his time of service.
Robert “Bob” Rhinehart was born on August 31, 1931 in Chilecothe, Ohio to Edward G. and Martha Belle (Cheney) Rhinehart. Bob was a gifted sheet metal worker, earning enough with his talents to retire early. He could accomplish anything he set his mind to. He built and rebuilt many things in and around their house, including a oversized 2 car garage with a mechanic pit in both garages, a unique fireplace, and completely finishing the basement! He also liked to make jewelry. Bob married Virginia Ann Hyland, together they had two boys. Bob later married Elfreida “Frieda” Scmidt raising a daughter together. Bob and Frieda loved to travel and explore the world together.
Mr. Rhinehart is survived by his wife Frieda, his sister Jane Wild, children Vernon Lee Rhinehart, Jeffery Ken (Jennifer) Rhinehart, Monika Marie (Greg Francis) Collom, grandchildren Cheryl Portwood, Chari (Rodney) Collins, great-grandchildren, John (Megan), Calvin (Sadie), Austin(Madison), Dalton (Danielle), Tyson, Virginia “Ginger”, Gabriel, Karen (Daustin), Jarin “Oggie”, Jennifer (Jeffery), Taylor (Castle) and many great-great grandchildren, his legacy will live on.
