Patricia "Patti" Laney Collins

Patricia (Patti) Laney Collins, age 67, of Arvada, CO died peacefully at home surrounded by family on February 25, 2024. Cause of death was small-cell lung cancer. She was born on July 6, 1956 in Batavia, NY to Loren and Joanne Laney.

She graduated from Alexander Central High School in 1974. She was married to Gary Collins on August 25, 1984 on Flagstaff Mountain in Boulder, CO. She and Gary are parents to Cassie Marie.

Patti enjoyed gardening, canning, music, family, friends, being a “Grammy”, the beach, skiing, cooking, camping, card games, corn hole, washers, golf, etc…she was full of life!

Patti is survived by her husband, Gary, her daughter Cassie (Jason) Woods, her grandchildren Addison and Jace, her mother Joanne Laney, siblings Tom, Steve (Cindy), Joe (Jody), Karen/Kate Laney, Sue (Joe) McPherson, Matt (Lori), Rosie (Russ) Radziej.

She is also survived by many in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Preceded in death by father Loren, brother Mike, sister-in-law Jo, and her precious miniature wiener dog, Oscar.

Funeral Mass will be held at Spirit of Christ Catholic Community in Arvada, CO on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at 11:00 am. Celebration of Life gathering will be held in Minnesota in June, 2024 (date TBD). A memorial and burial will take place in Alexander, NY on July 4, 2024.
