Born on September 3rd, 1918 in Green Top, Missouri to George William Branum and Elsie Elenora Israel Branum. Mary was the 7th of 9 children. The family moved to a farm in Hamlet, Nebraska where Mary was raised. We don't think Mary ever considered herself a farm girl.
On February 3rd, 1951 Mary married Frank P. Willis, the love of her life. They moved to Littleton and loved to entertain, drink margaritas and have some salsa on the side. When they weren't working or spending time with family, and friends you would find them dancing or traveling. Mary carried herself with sophistication, elegance, and pride.
Mary retired from Cahners Publishing in 1982. She always kept busy and in 1994 started taking care of her great great nephew, Anthony, at 6 weeks old and they have been best friends ever since.
Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband, her parents, her eight brothers and sisters, Nella, Erma, Ola, Dale, Earl, Wilma, Eleanor, and Milton, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She is survived by dear friends and family, generations of nieces and nephews that all have wonderful memories of fun times in the house on Hickory street.
Service, Saturday, February 6, 2016, 2:30PM, with viewing one hour before at Crown Hill Chapel, 7777 West 29th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, Colorado 80033

Mary Lou was loved beyond measure and will be missed always!
