So sorry to hear that my friend, Mary, passed away.  I knew her through my best friend Sandra Sanchez and I also knew her from USWEST.  In later years we reconnected our friendship at Parkinson's exercise classes.  She was a great gal and will be missed.  RIP Mary!!

Mary was a special friend who I loved dearly and meant so much to me. She brought joy to life with her great laugh and positive spirit and I’ll hold on to those wonderful memories.

I am so sorry to hear of Mary's passing.  She was such a lovely, kind woman that always had an encouraging word for my son and me, helping whenever she could. People that give of themselves out of the kindness of their hearts are rare.  She left a mark on our lives as I know she did on many others'.

I just learned of your mother's passing today.  I worked with Mary for many years at US West.  What a wonderful, positive, and productive person she was.  She assisted me in many ways during my days in Carrier Marketing.  Her energy and creativity were enormous.  She was always kind and respectful and welcoming.  During a "take your daughter to work" day she volunteered to guide my daughter around her workplace.  She was the definition of grace and class.  I'm sorry I did not attend the memorial service.  Thank you so much for sharing your memories of Mary with us.

To Mary's Children: I worked with your lovely mom from the late 90's through the early Qwest days. I was in Minneapolis and she held our team together in Denver. I just today learned that Mary had passed recently. I hadn't talked to her in several years, but was thinking about her today and just now watched the service honoring her life. I must tell you what a wonderful, gracious, intelligent professional she was. I learned so very much from her during those nutty USWEST/QWEST times. I knew that any big event we had to produce would be a resounding success because of your mom. Things were always in excellent hands with Mary's talents at PR, marketing and event production. I was so lucky to have been able to work by her side. And also to experience that delightful sense of humor. My sincere condolences. She was a true treasure.  Jarby Blackmun

My condolences to Mary's family. I'd have attended her funeral, had I known. I worked beside Mary for many years at US WEST. She followed me as PR support to the Carrier Marketing Department and  excelled at creating their outstanding event for clients at the International Golf Tournament. She added so much creativity and fun to it. I'm pleased her obituary mentioned how classy she was. I never got to hear her sing but was impressed that she handled being in the Opera Colorado chorus as well as working full time. Her death has shocked many of her Mountain Bell/US West PR friends who loved and admired her. 


MP with her sister, Helen, spending a weekend in NC with all their living cousins, listening to my mother, Myrle, tell stories about growing up with their mother, Hazel. I'll always remember MP as being the most glamourous person in my life and will treasure the memory of the way she could add fun to every occasion. So glad we reconnected later in life and glad for the lessons I learned from her about generosity, honesty, and love of family.

Mary Riffle was the coolest mom I knew when we were growing up in north Denver. I always loved going to the Riffle home because it was always so welcoming and Mary was the driving force behind that experience. 

Tricia lives next to me and Mary would stay with me sometimes when Tricia was on her way home, I really enjoyed her and all that she talked about,  a very nice lady.

My mother loved her yard. Here she was July 4th 2021. No makeup or hair dye looking like an absolute beauty.  I love her so much.
