Joe Perfe Maez, age 88, passed away September 25, 2017. Joe was born January 19, 1929 in Rosa, New Mexico. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during WWII in the Asian Pacific and in the military police. Following his military service he was a Sergeant at Arms for the American Legion. Joe is survived by his wife Oivia; children Perfe Maez and Debbie Maez; grandchildren: Tiffany Maez, Jefferey Maez, Jacob Maez, Felicia Maez, Jeremy Jiron, Uriah Jiron, Adam Martinez-Maez , Michael Martinez-Maez and Shawnase and siblings: Ray, Dewey, Gene, Tony and Delores. He was preceded in death by his son Martin Maez, daughter Sharon Maez, grandson Joshua Maez and siblings: Frank, Levi, Esidore, Lala, Julia, Gloria and Filbert. Visitation will be Sunday, October 1, 2017 from 3-5pm at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary. Funeral service will be Monday, October 2, 2017 at 10:30am in the Olinger Crown Hill Chapel of Peace, interment at Ft. Logan to follow at 1:00pm.
