Denise was born in Queens New York, where she was raised by her “YAYA’S” strict Greek Traditions, these traditions and commitment to family would go on to be the foundation of her legacy. Denise was the smartest, kindest, strongest, funniest, clever, take no trash kind of women who relocated her 3 boys & herself to the western slope of Colorado in the 1980’s. Starting from nothing in Colorado, Denise worked in the restaurant & hospitality industry and eventually opened her own Greek restaurant in Grand Junction. Denise relocated to Parachute CO where she joined the Garfield County Sheriffs office as a Deputy Sheriff and then to the Wheat Ridge area where she lived out the remainder of her life, loved & surrounded by her family.
Denise was a single mother who dedicated her life to raising her three boys and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchild. There was never any shortage of food during the holidays, especially Greek Easter and it didn’t matter if you were part of the family or not, friends were always invited.
Denise is preceded in eternal rest by her Husband: Jack T Cannon JR. Mother: Yvonne Ganier, and Brother: Thomas Snedecore. She is survived by Sons: Damian (Lynette) DiFeo, Darin (Kelli) DiFeo, Darrell (Tania) DiFeo. Grandchildren: Andria (Andrew) Hladik, Vincent DiFeo, Anthony DiFeo, Alyssa DiFeo, Nicholas DiFeo, and Great Grandchild: Harper Hladik.
She will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends; the world has truly lost an Angel!
