In Loving Memory
Dee Legler passed away at the Mountain Vista Memory Care Center in Wheat Ridge, Colorado on October 14, 2017.
Delores (Dee) Coleen Legler was born November 12, 1932 in Des Moines, Iowa. In 1950 she married her high school sweetheart, Ray Scott, moved to Denver, Colorado and helped him build a successful printing business while raising four children. Dee and Ray divorced in 1969, and in 1975 Dee was married to Robert (Bob) Roberts, who was a hotel manager for Ramada Hotels. Bob and Dee moved briefly to Tyler, Texas and transferred back to Littleton, Colorado in 1979. After being widowed in 1980, Dee married Richard Legler in 1983 and moved to Highlands Ranch, Colorado.
Dee enjoyed a successful career at Bank Services, Inc. from 1971 until her retirement in 1995.
She was loving mother of four children (Steve, Linda, Delores (Liz), and Debbie); the grandmother of 13, and great-grandmother of 18. Because of her loving marriage to Richard, Dee was also a step-mother to Debra Legler, Diana Kobs and Douglas Legler, and a step-grandmother to 8 and step-great-grandmother to 14.
Dee will be remembered as a kind, warmhearted, caring, and a giving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was always in good humor, patient, and willing to help in any situation. Dee has many life-long friends who grieve her passing but rejoice in having been blessed in knowing Dee for decades. She is survived by her husband Rich, sisters Irene, Ilene, and, Ginger; children and grandchildren. She was the best…it is hard to imagine life without “Grandma Dee!”
Visitation will be from 4-6pm, Thurs. Oct. 19, 2017 with services at 10:00am on Fri. Oct. 20, 2017, both at Olinger Crown Hill, (W. 29th Ave. and Wadsworth). She will be laid to rest at Olinger Crown Hill Cemetery.
